Hey everyone, I’ve been exploring options for handling ID verification locally without relying on cloud services, mainly because of data privacy concerns at my company. I’m curious if anyone has experience with On-Premise SDKs that can scan passports, national IDs https://ocrstudio.ai/id-scanner/, and driver’s licenses efficiently, and maybe even handle face matching, all offline. Any insights, challenges, or recommendations would be super helpful. I want to make sure the solution is fast but also really secure.

Thanks for sharing! I haven’t used OCR Studio specifically, but I’ve been looking into offline ID scanning solutions too. It seems like having both mobile and server-side support in an On-Premise SDK is really useful, especially when dealing with sensitive user data.

Hi! I’ve actually been working with an On-Premise SDK recently for a small fintech project, and I found it surprisingly flexible.It even supports multilingual OCR in over 100 languages and does face matching against selfies. The setup can be done on servers or even mobile devices, so it’s really versatile. A tricky part was ensuring the proper lighting and camera alignment for consistent scans, but once that was sorted, it performed reliably. The SDK also includes features like Presentation Attack Detection to prevent spoofing attempts, which adds an extra layer of security. Integrating it with our server-side processing pipeline was straightforward thanks to their REST and native APIs, and the performance was solid even on mid-range hardware. Overall, it felt like having a secure, offline verification system without compromising speed or accuracy.
