Access Issues While Using VPN

Hey all, I recently went on a work trip across Southeast Asia and during my downtime, I tried logging into some lottery platforms I usually use. Weirdly, I kept getting error messages or just blank pages. I brushed it off at first, but it happened in more than one country. While searching for answers, I stumbled upon this link: https://nagalandstatelottery.in/banned-countries-and-geo-restrictions-what-players-should-know/.

Has anyone else faced this while traveling? Are these restrictions permanent? And is there a reliable way to know in advance which countries block access to lottery sites?

Makes sense now why some of my VPN sessions ended up with error screens too. Didn’t realize it was country-specific like that. Helpful stuff!

Yeah, that's actually spot on. VPNs can unintentionally land you in a “banned” country if you're not careful with your server choice. The lottery site might block IPs from regions where gambling is prohibited, even if you're a legit user. The article you found breaks all this down — including why these geo-blocks exist and how they’re enforced. It really helped me avoid those mistakes when switching VPN servers.
