Hey y’all, I’m prepping for a last-minute move and heard people mention that some big retail stores give out free moving boxes if you ask at the right time. Has anyone actually tried this? I found this article on where to get free boxes for moving and it looks super helpful, but I wanna hear real experiences. Is it worth swinging by late at night or early morning?

Yep, I’ve had awesome luck with big stores. I stopped by the electronics section at a well-known chain, and the dude working there was like, “Take as many as you want.” Ended up with thick, cushioned boxes perfect for my kitchen stuff and fragile decor. I went around 9 PM, right when they were restocking. Timing is key! Just be friendly and you’ll probably score a ton without spending a cent.
