Does 'no files hosted' change anything?

Yeah, I know what you mean. If you check something like https://ball-busting.cc/12499-kinky-nurse-baroness-mercedes-movie/

it has that exact note, and it does make me feel like it’s more of an index site rather than a host. But legally, I doubt it shields users completely. For me, it’s more of a psychological comfort than a real protection.

It’s funny how disclaimers work in general. Whether on food labels, social media, or video sites, sometimes they’re more about shifting responsibility than changing reality. Still, people feel better when they see them.

When I read disclaimers like “we do not store any files on our server,” I get a bit confused. Does that make it more legal or just a way of avoiding responsibility? Once I saw that line and felt strangely reassured, even though I’m not sure it really changes anything. Do you feel safer when you see that?
