Can you apply window film to curved glass surfaces?

Hey folks! Has anyone here ever tried applying windowfilm to curved glass? I’ve got this rounded hallway window that I’d love to frost for privacy. I was checking out https://applyityourself.com and they mention different techniques depending on the shape and type of glass, but I’m still a bit unsure how well film sticks to curved surfaces. Would love to hear any tips or warnings before I give it a shot!

Never tried it myself, but this thread makes me want to experiment. I’ve always wondered how well vinyl handles curves — sounds like it’s doable if you don’t rush.

Yeah, I’ve done it a couple of times. Curved glass definitely takes more time and patience. You need to stretch the film just a little, and a heat gun helps to mold it without wrinkling. Start from the center and work outward slowly. If it's a sharp curve, you might want to use smaller pieces instead of one big one.
